Program Groups

The New Wave Swim Club offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the New Wave Swim Club to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Swimmers should arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of each training session so that training may start on time.

The program meets twice per week for 1.5 hours per session. Practice runs year-round according to our short course and long course competitive programs.

Generally 11-13 year olds, and 10&Unders with Age Group time standards. 5 practices per week.

Stroke efficiency throughout longer sets and at interval is stressed. Swimmers in this group will be educated on national level meet progressions, and will begin to set time, meet, and race specific goals. This group is open to those athletes who meet the requirements for the group and can demonstrate a year round commitment to competitive swimming for NWSC.
